Jack, how much you have changed…
Hello Jack, today you turned 2.
I can’t quite believe it, it only seems like yesterday I was gazing into your beautiful eyes in the delivery room.
Every once in a while I take a look in our keepsake box full of cards we received, your first outfit, the teddy I gave you that had been mine and those tiny ID bands that kept falling off your little ankles, telling the world you were mine. Its easy to forget how tiny you once were, well as tiny as an 8lb 10oz baby can be.
You never cease to amaze me how quickly you grow. One day you had just learnt to roll over and suddenly you can run and jump. You babbled mumma and dadda and now you tell me everything you are doing, some times you tell me too much. “Mummy, Jack fart.”
As you turn 2 and we start getting you ready for nursery I cant help but giggle to myself thinking of our visit and you pointing at me saying “My Mummy” and pulling me forwards to show to your new friends.
This time last year its was scorching hot and we had a lovely bbq with all our family. You had just started crawling and got ever so many presents.
I am honored to be your Mummy, you are my world, my everything.
Your Daddy and I are so proud of you each and everyday and our hearts melt with each cute gesture you make.
In your first year
You were the sweetest of all
In your second year
You have grown a little tall
When you were a newborn
You were cute as a button
Although you have grown
You are still my charming one
Stay the way you are
Take everyone’s breath away
Now that you have turned two
I wish you a happy birthday
Happy 2nd birthday
We love you to the moon and back.
