Pick and mix pictures story cards

Pick and mix pictures are the brainchild of a young couple with a background in nursery nursing and graphic design. Taking inspiration from the personalised items they made for their first child, pick and mix pictures was born.

Our cards are the standard design but you can also order personalised cards as well as ABC books and the new nautical expansion pack (available from the 10th March)

The pick and mix standard story cards feature bright and colourful pictures designed to encourage little one to use their imagination. By laying out the cards to tell the story your child is taking early steps in establishing key skills in language and literacy. We all know how important it is to be able to read, write and use your imagination, without it we would struggle through every social situation that may arise in our adult life.

The personalised pack gives you the opportunity to include your little one in the story using their name, skin and  hair colour and style. Now they can play a part in the story, fighting pirates, rescuing princesses from dragons or ruling over the land, where ever your little ones imagination takes them.

The story cards are aimed at preschool children and Jack, at a year old is a little too young to make up stories yet. However this did not stop him from thumbing through the pack and holding up each card for Mummy to say what was pictured. He then attempted to copy the word and now can tell me what is featured on a few of the cards. Jack enjoys matching the background colours and shouting “Bear” when he comes across that card.

The standard packs are £7 plus p&p and the personalised packs are £9 plus p&p and can be ordered from picnmixpictures.

Disclaimer: We were sent the standard pack of cards for the purpose of this review, all opinions are my own.
